William Collin Steele

William Collin Steele, aged 84, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, in St Louis, Missouri. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a dear friend to many.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, William lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. He was known for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and unwavering generosity.

William worked as a transportation driver for 30 years, where he was respected for his dedication and hard work. He approached every task with diligence and integrity, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working with him.

In his free time, William enjoyed photography, cooking, and finding solace and joy in the simple moments spent with his family and friends.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth Steele; two brothers, William Harris and Lawrence Steele Jr; great niece, Aminah Mitchell and granddaughter, Kelis Barnwell.

William will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Myrtle (Toni) Childs Steele, his four children, Reginald W. Howard, Maurice Ford, Monica Rogers and Kourtney Steele; thirteen grandchildren, Reginald Howard ll, Collice Howard, Dramundra Collier, Meghan Rogers , Payton Dunham, Alexis Griffin, Lauren Peltier, Andre Lawson, Eric Lawson, Ayden Luster, Ethan Steele, Easton Henderson, Kaison Barnwell; six great grandchildren, Kristen Howard, Kennedy Howard, Crimson Danner, Emerson Danner, Shiloh Larks and Sevyn Larks, and a great nephew, Darren McGraw.

William will be missed by his extended family, including daughters-in-law, NaShonda Howard, Virginese Howard, Veronica Ford, and son-in-law, Daryl Rogers; sisters-in-law, Gena Lovett (New York), Beverly Lovett (Arkansas), brother-in-law Frederick Lovett (Arkansas), and a host of other close relatives and friends.

William may have left this world, but his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
