Tamiko Juantil Conner was born on February 4, 1973, to Lindbergh Caldwell and Lucy Conner in Birmingham, Alabama.
Tamika attended Lincoln Elementary and Parker High School as well as a member of A.G. Gaston Boys and Girls Club. She participated in extra curriculum activities like cheerleading which gave her daughter, Mahogany the same passion to cheer as well. Tamiko also began to receive scholarships for college.
Tamiko gave birth to two beautiful children, Mahogany and Rozell Conner-Broadnax. She was a loving grandmother to Jabari, the joy of her life and the one she would always cradle in her arms at every opportunity.
Tamiko admonished God’s creation in its beauty embracing life’s challenges and yet stood and walk through with courage to endure. She always had a hustle about herself and always kept it real (100). She was one who would always lend a helping hand.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father and a sister, Lawanda Conner.
She leaves to cherish in loving and fond memories; one daughter, Mahogany Conner (Brandon); one son Rozell Broadnax Conner; a grandson; Jabari Duane Bailey-Harris, two brothers Pastor Sherry Conner Jr. (Dr. Evelyn Conner); Selwin Johnson; sister, Vanessa Conner; Aunt, Annie Foreman, godmother Pat Reese; godsisters, Kewania and Andrea Reese, a dear friend, Freeman Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and best friends, Anita, Nay-nay, Shelia, MaBay, Shuante and Gloria.
