Sherry McCray

Sherry DeAngelo McCray was born May 22, 1979, to Pastor Sherry Conner Jr. (Dr. Evelyn Conner) and Cynthia McCray in Birmingham, Alabama.

She attended Jones Valley Elementary School and graduated from West End High School. She attended First Community Church.

Sherry was a devoted mother who loved, protected and tried her best to keep her girls shielded from exposure to a world that could lure them at a young age. She kept them focused on things that would cause them to become successful agents in society. She always made sure her girls were active, explorative thinkers and participated in extracurriculars. They were the love of her life!

 She was preceded in death by her two grandmothers, Helen Walker and Lucy Conner and her three aunts LaWanda Conner, Tamiko Conner and Vanessa Conner.

She leaves to cherish loving memories, two daughters, Jade and Jasmine Hinton, two brothers; DeAndre McCray Sr. (Michelle McCray and Jeromy McCray; her grandfather; Sherry Conner Sr., one great aunt; Annie Foreman, one uncle Broderick Means, three aunts Marcia (Frank) Bell, Valerie (Gordy) Avery, Tammy (Greg) Wilson. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends and her special friend John Johnson.
