Samuel Smoot Bragg

Mr. Samuel Smoot Bragg was born April 1, 1961
to Sandy and Frances Bragg, in Birmingham, Al-
abama. He was educated in the Birmingham Pub-
lic School System. He was preceded in death by
his parents, Sandy and Frances Bragg, as well as
his three brothers, William, Michael and Lorenzo.

Samuel Smoot Bragg departed this life on Friday,
May 2, 2025 at home. He leaves to mourn: his
siblings, Wesley Smoot, Jr., Frazier Smoot-Long,
Sheila Coats-Bragg and Cynthia Bragg-Hinkle;
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends;
and a special friend, Jeffrey Scott.
