Ronald A. Reid, Sr., was born on November 16, 1937, to the late Arthur Reid, Sr., and Emma Mae Reid in Cincinnati, Ohio. He confessed Christ at an early age. In Ohio, he was affectionately known as Anthony and, in Alabama, Ron.Ronald graduated from Alabama A&M University. This is where he met his wife, Elaine I. Reid, also became a brother of Nasiha Roho Adinasi Fraternity, Inc. Ronald retired from the Department of Human Resources in 1996 as a Supervisor. While there, he initiated the adoption program, One Church One Child. Later he worked as a paraprofessional at Woodlawn High School for many years.He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Reid, Sr.; his mother, Emma Mae Reid; two brothers, Attorney Arthur Reid and Lawrence Reid; and two sisters, Bernice Farmer and Charlene Johnson.He departed this life on August 28, 2021, and leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Elaine I. Reid; three daughters, Alison Mack of Cincinnati, Kimberlie Ross of Virginia, and Mia Reid; two sons, Mark A. Reid and Ronald A. Reid, Jr. (Tonika); three brothers, Joseph Reid (Lottie), Dr. Robert Reid, and Giovanni Reid; three sisters, Delores Reid, Mary Cantrell, andPatricia Youngblood; seven grandchildren, Robert Walton, Alonzo Walton, Johnathan Ross, Marcc Reid, Taylor Reid, Gavin Reid, and Greysen Reid; brother-in- law, Sterling Ivery, Jr. (Rosama) of Camarillo, California; sister-in-law, Evelyn Bishop; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and church family.
