A Time to be Born:
Ronald B. Lomax began his journey on October 13, 1952, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was the son of the late Mr. Milton and Lille Bell Lomax.
A Time to Plant:
Ronald’s formative years were spent attending the Birmingham Public Schools. He graduated from A.H. Parker High School. He also received a certificate in Building Maintenance from the Alabama State Department of Vocational Education. He confessed his belief in Christ at an early age and united with the First Baptist Church, East Thomas. He then joined the First Memorial. He later united with the St. James Baptist Church, East Lake under the leadership of Reverend G.W. Blutcher, where he later became a deacon and trustee under the leadership of Reverend John Dansby. Ronald was employed by the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Minor Construction and retired in 2005 due to health issues. Ronald was also an avid worshiper and loved to sing. He was a dedicated member of the “Men of Praise” for several years.
A Time to Love:
Ronald was united in holy matrimony to Grace B. Lomax.
A Time to Die:
Ronald’s journey ended on February 3, 2025. He received his wings and relocated to a prepared home that pales in comparison to any of her others. The new location is an exclusive estate behind a pearly white gate. The streets are paved with gold and every day is like Sunday.
A Time to Mourn:
Ronald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his brother Milton Jr. and sisters Anita, Eardine, Geraldine and Rose Mary Lomax and five brothers-in-law Anthony, Charles, Eugene, Alvin, Vincent and one sister-in-law Jewell. He leaves to cherish her life and love: His loving and devoted caregiver and wife Mrs. Grace B. Lomax, two daughters and four sons, Ronald B. (Deidre) Lomax Jr., Felicia L. (Dexter) Nevett, Regina L. Lomax, Justin and Jason Vines and Ladarious Golson all of Birmingham, Alabama. Two brothers Benjamin (Amanda) Lomax of Birmingham, AL. and Samuel (Gloria) Lomax Sr. of Camden, AL. A mother-in-law Clara J. Bates, two brothers-in-law Christopher (Benita), Robert (Desiree) six sisters-in-law Karen, Christine, Veronica (Bo), Antionette (Edward), Robin (Tony), Stella. Seventeen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
