Rev. Lonzey C. McNeily Jr.

Lonzey (Red) Jr. was born December 15, 1939 to Rev. Lonzey and Bertha McNeily in Birmingham, Al. Lonzey (Red) accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized in th name of the Father Son and the Holy Ghost. Lonzey grew up in Birmingham, Alabama i attended Hooper City High School and was a member of Community Baptist Church, Penfield Park where his Father the Rev. Lonzey McNeily, Sr. was the founder and Pastor for thirty five years. He attended Theological and Seminary Schools in Birmingham and Atlanta, Ga. He reunited with the Community Baptist Church for several years. He joined First Baptist Church Penfield Park under the leadership of Pastor Robert L. Tartt until his death. He had a gift that could only come from God and that was the love for Carpentry and could build and remodel beautiful homes and a master bricklayer and fisherman. In 1987 God Blessed him with a precious gift. He met and married the "LOVE" of his life Gladys Craig and a beautiful blended Family was born. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. and Mrs. Lonzey McNeily Sr. brothers Edward McNeily, Jimmy McNeily and Bobby Gene Player. Sister Elsie Marbury, sons: Tavarus Gibson and Reginald Sargent daughter: Shirwana McNeily Tuitt. Lonzey (Red) passed away on Saturday December 14, 2019His Family He will be remembered by many including his Loving, Devoted and Faithful wife of 32 years Mrs. Gladys McNeily, stepmother Mrs. Sally McNeily four sons Lonzey McNeily, lll, Detroit Michigan, Deltrice McNeily, Markeith McNeily (Keisha), Draper Gibson and Demetrius Walton (Teri) all of Birmingham, Al. Three daughters, Selena Gail Texas, Nicole Barreau (Dumas)New Jersey and Lakeisha McNeily (Clifton) Birmingham, Al, Wanda White(Barry), Angela Scales (Alvin), Deborah Rice and Tasha Finley (Edward). A very devoted Sister and Brother-in-law Louis & Pat Harper Birmingham, Al. Sister-in-laws Barbara Ross, Lucille McNeily and Sallye Player. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Right before our eyes ... he loved us all and made us feel special.
