Ray Anthony Austin was born on January 4, 1958 to the late Fred andvera Austin. He departed this life on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 atUAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.He attended Locust Fork High School in Locust Fork, Alabama. Rayjoined Friendship Baptist Church in 2013 under the leadership of PastorWayne Callen. He loved his children and found great humor in makingpeople laugh.He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Austin; mother, veraAustin; sister, verna Austin (Bunchie); brothers, Charles Austin andLanster Austin; and a grandson, Jerome Seals, Jr.He leaves to cherish his memory: a daughter, Katrina Seals (Jerome)Birmingham, AL; one son, Anthony R. Jones, Birmingham, AL; sixgrandchildren, Charlese Williams, Jerome Anthony Seals, JonathanLamar Seals, Royta Jones, Trinty Jones and Marlee Jones of Birmingham, AL; two great grandchildren, Curtis J. Simmons and Karter J.Williams; three sisters, Freddie Clay, Warrior, AL, Neita Marsha(Jasper) Hayden, AL and Brenda evans (Alfred) Birmingham, AL; onebrother, Ronnie Austin, Warrior, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
