Quincy Davis Obituary

Quincy Collie Davis was born to Mollie Bell Jones and Ercell Davis Sr. on October 29, 1948. He
graduated from Abram’s High School and then joined the United States Airforce and served a
year in Vietnam. He gave his life to Christ at First Baptist Church of Acipco. He later moved to
Charleston SC and then to Panama City, FL where he met his wife Rosie Easter Andrews and
moved to Birmingham, AL where he joined the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. Quincy
spent 30 years with the Sheriff’s Department under different divisions and worked for Midfield
Police Department and once he retired from the police department he decided to go back to work
at CrossPlex as head of security for Legion Field.
Quincy Davis is preceded in death by his parents Ercell Davis Sr. and Mollie Davis, wife Rosie
Davis, three brothers James E Davis, Ercell Davis Jr., Charles Davis, Father-in-law Louis
Andrews Sr., Mother-in -law Arner Jean Andrews, Sister-in-law Gloria J. Smith, Bother-in-law
Edward Andrews and one grandson Antonius Menchion.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one loving sister Linda Miller of Memphis TN; his loving
daughters LaQuinta Davis of Jacksonville, FL; Gilda Andrews of Panama City, FL; Alberta
(Julius) Hubbard and Teresa Cooks both of Birmingham, AL; loving sons Bertram (Sirlena)
Andrews, Bobby (Sheila) Andrews both of Panama City, FL., and Taurus (Lakeisha) Foresyth of
Dallas, GA.
(sixteen loving grandchildren) Tamara Menchion, Ashley Starks, Brittany Andrews, Courtney
Andrews, Startavia Andrews, Jaimon Andrews, Bertram Andrews Jr.; Quintina Roberts all of
Panama City, FL; Bobby Andrews Jr., of Atlanta, GA; Ann Johnson of Virginia; Devarian
Foresyth and Jaquan Williams of Dallas, GA; Destiny Hubbard, Alex Cooks, Alexus Cooks and
Endia Cooks all of Birmingham, AL.
(seventeen loving great grandchildren) Ric’Kiyah Pasco, Serenity Worlds, Derrick Worlds Jr.
DeMonei Worlds, Ashton Cobb, Lailah Lebar, Jaylen Starks, Makhi Andrews, Kaiden Andrews,
Karson Andrews all of Panama City, FL; Mariah Jordan of Gulf Port, Mississippi; London
Cooks, Kenya Cooks, Kenyon Cooks, Alex Cooks Jr., Aayden Cooks and Dallas Bradford all of
Birmingham. AL.

(Four Sisters-in-law) Uwanna Tibbs of Lawrenceville, GA; Gladys Andrews, Morshelle
Andrews and Bernadette Andrews all of Panama City, FL; (two brothers-in-law) Clarence Smith
