Lula Mae Marsh Thredgill ("Ma Dear") was born on June 21, 1930 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Marsh (Leola Moorer) in Greenville, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age. She was a member of Anderson Temple A.M.E. Zion Church and later joined the Freewill Holiness Church Cathedral where she served as a faithful member until her illness. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Eddie Thredgill and to this union three children were born. One child preceded her in death. "Ma Dear" was a kind and gentle woman and got pleasure in helping others. She loved and spoiled any child she came in contact with. She enjoyed cooking and making sure everyone had enough to eat. On Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 1:00 a.m., she was called home from earthly pain to a place of peace and tranquility.
