Louise Whitehead Pettway passed away peacefully at her hòme on January 27, 2022. She was born April 26, 1940, with hertwin, Eloise Whitehead Nixon, who preceded her in death. Their parents were Alan Whitehead and Lucinda Bray of Fairfield, AL.At an early age, Mrs Pettway dedicated her life to the Lord and attended First Baptist Fairfield. She graduated in 1959 fromFairfield Industrial High, then attended Selma University. She was married for 45 years to Carey Pettway, Sr., who preceded her in death. Their union produced three kids, Louisa, Carey, Jr., and Tijuana.Mrs. Pettway retired from St. Vincent's East Hospital (East End) after 36 dedicated years in Environmental Services. She's survived by her three children, Louisa, Carey, Jr., and Tijuana; one grandchild, Kinosha; sister, Betty Jean Knox, brother, AlanWhitehead, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends, all who enjoyed her fiesty personality.
