Lois Carter Williams

Lois Evonne Carter Williams was born October 29, 1928 in Evergreen, Alabama and ascended to be with our Heavenly Father on November 1, 2018. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, leading to her being baptized at Bethel Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Lois was a dutiful servant of the Lord, which was displayed throughout her seventy-seven year membership at Bethel. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess, Trustee, Prime Timer, Finance Committee Member and in numerous other capacities.In addition to receiving and sharing the Gospel, education was never forgotten by Lois Williams. She was a proud alumna of A.H. Parker High School and furthered her education by attending Miles and Alverson Draughon Business College.Lois was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Williams, II on April 4, 1947. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage, which was only ceased by his passing away however, they are once again united. There union was blessed with two sons - Robert Williams, III (who preceded her in death) and Rodney Williams, Sr.Lois is survived by her devoted son Rodney Williams, Sr. (Janice) and daughter-in-law Falvie Williams; five grandchildren, Yolanda Evans, Robert Williams, IV (Antris), Candace Williams, Rodney Williams, Jr. (Kimberly), and Rian Williams; eight great grandchildren, Charity Woodley, Joy Williams, Arianna Brown, Brendon Williams, Byron Williams, Brian Williams, Reagan Williams and Chancellor Williams; one great-great-grandson, Aaron Green. Lois is also survived by beloved sisters and brothers, Sandra White, Beverly Haynes, Norris Carter (Debra), Rayford Carter, Donald Carter, Ronald, Gerald and Anthony Carter. This is in addition to God-children, Donna Holt (Michael), Paula Hawkins and Caregiver Ronald Grimmett.Lois was also preceded in death by her three brothers James, Leroy and Herbert Carter.
