Keith R. Barnett

Brother Keith Randall Barnett was born to the late Alexander Frazier Jr. and Cora Hicks Edwards on October 17th, 1960 in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended school in the Birmingham School system at Hayes High School and was a member of the high school marching band. He confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized. Keith met and married Gwendolyn Williams, and together they raised three children and a beloved dog, Sophie. He was employed with Southern Ready Mix/Kirkpatrick Concrete Company for 26 years with his latest role being a lab manager. He was also employed at Poole's Funeral Chapels. He was a dedicated and faithful member of the New Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. William H. Walker, Sr. He served on several ministries including Security, Kitchen, Disaster, Van, Picnic, and anywhere else he was asked to help, he would do it with a loving and selfless heart. Keith had a warm, friendly, loving, generous, and outgoing personality. He was called to his eternal resting place on Friday, November 16th, 2018 at his home in Alabaster, AL. Keith leaves behind to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Gwen Williams Barnett; two sons, Corey Williams (Angel) of Birmingham, AL and Gavin Barnett of Baton Rouge, LA; a daughter, Keishia Danielle Barnett of Calera, AL; 3 grandchildren, Jaylen Clark, Londyn Williams, and Gavin Chase Barnett; Mother, Cora Hicks Edwards; Father, Roscoe Barnett; Grandmother, Percy Williams; Father and Mother-In-Law, Tommie and Mary Jean Williams; 6 brothers, Anthony Barnett, Ernest Barnett, Steven Figueroa (Wanda), Alexander Frazier, Alexis Frazier, and Jonathan Braxton; 4 sisters, Ketera Mickens (Levert), Paula Barnett, Tracey Craig-Acey, and Candice Jackson (Patrick); a sister-in-law, Lisa Harris (Otis); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, special grandchildren, and friends.
