Julia Belcher Boswell was born November 6, 1933 to Robert and Willie Whatley Belcher in Jefferson County, Alabama. She attended Birmingham public schools.At an early age, she confessed Christ and became a member of the St. Luke A. M. E.. Church in east Birmingham. Later in life, she united with the New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Bessemer, Alabama.In December of 1947 she was united in holy matrimony to Reverend Alfred Johnson Boswell. This union was blessed with six children and ended at his death in 2012. Julia was a very caring and giving person; she took excellent care of her family, as well as members of the community. She was a loyal and committed employee of Pasquales, from which she retired as a baker.Julia Belcher Boswell departed this life on November 29, 2021. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, and son, Victor.She leaves to share and cherish loving memories of her: three daughters; Minnie Williams, Alfreda White (Duncan) and Brenda Reaves (Eddie); two sons; Cedric Boswell (Valerie) and Aaron Boswell; one sister, Elma Irvin; god daughter, Patricia Williams; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
