Jake Lykes, III

Jake Lykes III, the oldest child of two, was born June 28, 1952, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Jake P Lykes and Ovetta Lykes. He was baptized at an early age at Oak Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev C.M. Murdock. Jr as we called him graduated from G.W. Carver High School class of 1970. After graduating from high school he went to work for CSX Railroad until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his father Jake P Lykes. Jr is survived by his loving mother Ovetta Lykes, One sister Joyce(Milton) Fluellen Birmingham, Alabama, three nephews - Neshmond (Teleah) Fluellen Birmingham, Alabama, LaDarius (Sheneka)Fluellen, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Shequille Fluellen Birmingham, Alabama A host of cousins and friends.
