GLORIA JEAN FOSTER was born on
November 19, 1953, to Paul Jones and Louise Clark of
Birmingham, Alabama.
She was a graduate of Ullman High School and
attended Beulah Baptist Church. She retired from the
Birmingham Board of Education.
On May 12, 2025, the day of her transition, she reunited
with her mother, Louise Clark; sister, Christine and
Wali Muhammad; brother, Charles Foster; and nephew,
Samuel Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons, Unree
(the late Jennifer) Foster, Erica Dubose, and Samuel
and Heather Foster; grandchildren, Alexis, Unree, and
Jasmine Dubose and Brandon and Virginia Foster;
nephew, Rodrick Mims; great-grandchildren, Andria
Dubose and Myles Levins; cousins, Kim Brown, Olivia
Brown, Paige Brown and Jalen Brown; her two “sistas,”
