Frederick Leon German Sr. affectionately known to many as "Maney Boy" was born November 18,1953 in Birmingham, Alabama and departed this life on November 20, 2021. He was the eldest of five children born to the union of Mr. Thomas R. German and Mrs. Carey German.Mr. German was a proud graduate from Mannheim American High School in Mannheim, Germany in 1973. He then attended Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, AL where he earned his Associates Degree in Social Work in 1976 and continued in Social Work earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1979 from Daniel Payne College. He then earned a second Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Lawson in 1999. He met his true love Veronica Diane Edwards at they were united in Holy Matrimony on November 17, 1979. To their union Frederick and Veronica gave birth to Frederick Leon German, II. Mr. German was an avid learner always earning certificates to stay abreast of the latest updates in the Security and Social Work Industries. Amongst his many achievements Mr. German received certificates from the American Security Academy, Case Management with Alabama Medicaid, Department of Human Resources and Security. Mr. German was, without exception, always dually employed and a long-standing employee with the Bruno's family and Lloyd Noland Hospital for many years. He concurrently worked at St Vincent's hospital and Southern Research Institute in his most recent years retiring from St. Vincent's in 2019. He was still employed at Southern Research Institute. Fred also worked holding many other positions in Security and Social Work in the Birmingham area to faithfully provide for his family. He was a contracted employee in case management for Alabama Department of Human Resources. Always putting his hands to productivity, Frederick served faithfully and diligently as a steward at Peggy's Chapel for 30 years.Mr. German is preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Eloise German Johnson. He leaves to cherish his loving wife of 42 years Veronica D. German; son, Frederick L. German, II; parents, Thomas and Carey German; sisters, Thomasine German, Rhonda Randall; brother, James D. German.Isaiah 15: 55-5755 "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
