Mr. Edgar Lee Harrison was born on June 7, 1935, to
Mrs. Annie Lee Harrison (Tradd) and Mr. Warren Bernnett
Harrison. He was raised by Lula Gray in Birmingham,
Alabama.
He was preceded in death by Wilbert L. Howard, Callie
Harrison, Polly Boone, Ida Marie (Smith) Eagleton, Edward,
and Mary B. Jenkins.
He confessed his life to Christ at an early age at Springfield
Baptist Church in Oxmoor and became a member of the choir
and sang with various gospel groups like the South West
Regional Male Chorus. He joined the Mt. Olive Missionary
Baptist Church Tarpley City under the leadership of Rev.
A.J Sanders Edgar was united in marriage to Norma Neeley
in March 15, 1962. He was an employee at the University of
Alabama in Birmingham for many years.
He had a friend in Jesus. Every person Edgar came into
contact with was touched by love, kindness, helpfulness, and
his giving spirit. He had the most beautiful smile and purest
heart.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Lee Arthur
Neeley, Glenda Haney, Edgar (Mattie) Neeley, Gloria (Joseph)
Lewis, Annie (Russell) Thedford, and Shawuna (Arthur)
Macon; Grandchildrens, Spencer (Maria) Haney, Haltuan
Lewis, Dedrick (Cirita) Thedford, Lashundra Thedford,
Parrish Harrison, Darius Haney, Purtay Nelley, Janesa Lewis,
Jasmine (DeMarkus) Boyd, Ashia (Douglas) Peasant, Branden
Thedford, Allison Neeley, Amber Neeley, and Issac Neeley; A
host of Great-grandchildren Nieces, nephews and friends.
