Denson Heard Jr, age 63, was born on July 14, 1958 in Birmingham AL, to the late Denson Heard Sr. and Patricia Ann Heard. Denson confessed to Christ at an early age at Mt Hebron Baptist in Irondale, AL. He attended Irondale Public Schools and Shades Valley High.Denson enlisted in the U.S. Armed Services in 1976 at the age of 17. Following graduation from US Army Basic Training, he served a tour of duty in Fairbanks, Alaska. He served his country with honor until his discharge in 1978.Denson returned to Birmingham where he completed an Associates Degree in Business from Birmingham Southern College. A manager in the Poultry Industry, Denson was well known as a leader and teacher throughout the industry, and traveled to a myriad of job locations to help revolutionize poultry systems and processes. In 2010, he returned to Irondale "The Bend" where he re-established his permanent residence. An avid hunter and fisherman, his return allowed him to reconnect with family and friends, where he spent countless hours laughing, BBQ'ing, and sharing old neighborhood stories. Denson, affectionately known as Demp Jr, DJ, and Kid, departs from us leaving many memories to cherish. He leaves his sons Denson Heard III "Dee" and Alejandro "Alex" Heard; three (3) brothers Anthony, Vince, and Drexel (Nanette), Birmingham, AL; (2) sisters Ann (Bob), Birmingham, AL and Arrevia (Greg), Huntsville, AL. He leaves a myriad of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
