Darnell Lewis-Abdullah

Darnell "Sheree" Lewis-Abdullah was born on September 10, 1981, in Birmingham, AL, to the late Roosevelt Higginbothamand Patricia McCall-Spencer. Confessing Christ at an early age, she united with Saint Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in Docena, AL. Darnell graduated from Minor High School. She later married her husband, Muhammad Abdullah, and moved to Ensley. She loved listening to music, dancing, cooking, and having fun with her family. She never met a stranger and touched many lives, young and old.Darnell "Sheree" Lewis-Abdullah passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Highlands. She was preceded in death by: her father, Roosevelt Higginbotham, mother, Patricia McCall- Spencer, and sister, Sinarata "Winky" Lewis.She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Muhammad Abdullah; three children, Omari Fielder, Ariyanna Woodall, and Aiysa Abdullah; sister, Lorraine Hayden; brother, Paul Higginbotham; one stepsister, Felicia Spencer; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; one special aunt, Hazel Ruth-Moree; one uncle, Sam Moree; two great-uncles, Norris (Vernell) Robbins and Cliff Robbins; one niece, Erika Hayden; and a host of other relatives and friends.
