Life is a journey that everyone born must take; whether
long or short, it has a beginning, middle and end.
“BEGINNING”
Dan Edwards was the eighth of thirteen siblings born
to the parentage of the late Overseer Dan Edwards, Sr.
and Reverend Beatrice Edwards on March 7, 1948, in
Birmingham, Alabama.
“THE DASH”
Dan, affectionately called “Ray”, was educated in the
Birmingham Public School system. After graduation
from Carver High School Class of 1966, he was drafted
into the United States Army in 1967. After serving, he

Bessemer Circuit Court System where he retired in
2021.
“THE ENDING”
On Thursday, December 20, 2024, God the Father
sent Jesus Christ, his son, to gather unto himself,
our beloved father, brother, uncle, brother-in-law,
granddad, and friend.
He leaves to cherish his homegoing two daughters,
Nikesha (Gary) Edwards-Hamilton and Marja (Deanon)
