Clarence Jones

Clarence Jones was born August 18, 1940, in Riley, Alabama, to the late Ola Mixon and Helen Jones. He was united in holy matrimony to Emma Jean Robinson of Overton, Alabama, and they shared 37 years of marital bliss, as well as two children, Michelle and Fredrick Robinson.Clarence worked hard most of his life, providing for his family, whom he loved. He had a spirit of making you feel welcome in his home or wherever he met you. His wife enjoyed cooking and baking, and he always assisted her in the kitchen. He was soft spoken, caring, and kind.He worked for the Sheraton Hotel for over 30 years and was an avid Alabama football fan. Those who knew him well called him "Shorty." He always looked out for people, making certain they had what they needed. That will be missed.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ola Mixon and Helen Jones; his wife, Emma Jones; one brother, Arthur Maddox; and his son, Fredrick Robinson. He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving daughter, Michelle (Benjamin Moore) Robinson; sister, Joyce (William)Booker; three brothers-in-law, Manuel (Cynthia) Robinson, Roosevelt (Shirley) Catlin, and Johnny Harris; five sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kindred, Mary (Clarence Hearns) Hubbard, Linda Robinson, Cathy (Edward Eaton) Robinson, and Janice Robinson; two granddaughters, Ashley Robinson and Erin Willis; two grandsons, Brandon Robinson and Isaiah Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
