Mother Betty was born on September 8, 1937, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Estell and George Ford, Sr. She departed this life on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, for a better place. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald Ford; husband, Willie Hicks, Sr.; three brothers and five sisters. She accepted Christ in her early years. Later, she was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost at a meeting one night. Her life was changed forever. She joined the Mason City A.O.H Church of God and continued to grow in the Lord over the next forty-five plus years. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late, Mr. Willie Hicks, Sr. They were blessed to be married more than 39 years before he departed this life. She has nurtured many young and old to live a dedicated life to the Lord. Youcould always find a place at the table on Sunday at Betty's Kitchen. She was admired and loved by all she came in contact with and by all she touched.
